Terms of use
Last updated: October 21, 2026
These terms govern the use of Discrema, a platform for sharing models for digital fabrication (3D printing, laser cutting and engraving…). By creating an account, you accept them.
1. The service
Discrema lets you discover and download models, follow creators and publish your own models in a personal shop. In its current version, all models are free.
The publisher acts as a host of the content published by users, within the meaning of Article 6 of the LCEN and Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (DSA): it does not review all of it beforehand, but acts promptly once illegal content is reported.
2. Your account
You must be at least 15 years old to create an account. You agree to provide a valid email address, to confirm it, and to keep your password confidential. You are responsible for the activity on your account.
Your username is public. It must not impersonate another person or a brand. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings.
3. Publishing a model
By publishing a model, you guarantee that you hold the rights to it (you are its author, or you have a permission or licence that allows it) and that distributing it does not infringe anyone’s rights (copyright, trademarks, designs, image rights…).
You choose the licence under which the model is distributed (Creative Commons, personal use…). You grant the publisher a non-exclusive, free, worldwide right to host, reproduce and display your files, images and descriptions in order to operate and promote the service, for as long as they are published.
A new creator’s first models are reviewed by the team before publication. This review is not a legal validation of the content, which remains your responsibility.
4. Prohibited content
You must not publish:
- firearms, firearm parts or accessories (frames, receivers, magazines, suppressors…) or any model designed to injure;
- counterfeit content or content reproduced without the permission of its rights holders (characters, logos, licensed objects…);
- objects whose use is illegal or obviously dangerous;
- sexual or pornographic content, or content involving minors;
- hateful, discriminatory, violent or harassing content;
- malicious files or files unrelated to their description;
- spam, misleading content or other people’s personal data.
5. Downloading and using models
Each model comes with a licence stating what you may do with it (personal use, remixing, selling prints…). You agree to respect it, including crediting the creator when the licence requires it.
Models are provided as is. Printing, assembling and using them is at your own risk: make sure the model, the material and your machine suit the intended use, especially for mechanical parts or food-contact items.
6. Reporting and moderation
Anyone can report a model with the “Report this model” button. The report must explain why the content is illegal or contrary to these terms, and include a statement of good faith. An acknowledgement is sent, followed by the decision taken and its reasons.
The team may refuse to publish a model, remove it from the catalog or suspend an account in case of breach of these terms or of the law, in particular repeated breaches. The person concerned is informed of the decision and its reasons by email.
You can contest any decision concerning you (refusal, removal, suspension, or the outcome of your report) by replying to the email that notified it. Your complaint is reviewed by a member of the team. You may also turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body, or to the courts.
7. Liability
The publisher takes reasonable steps to keep the service available, without guaranteeing permanent availability. It cannot be held liable for content published by users, unless it failed to act promptly after becoming aware of it, nor for damage related to printing or using models.
8. Personal data
How your data is processed is described in the privacy policy.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may change. In case of a significant change, you will be informed by email or on the site before it takes effect. If you do not accept them, you can delete your account.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. Contact: contact@discrema.com.
